Clown Pipa
Born in Bavaria as Karin Wimmer, she decided at the age of 15 to become a clown. This was a start to a long journey, which brought her through many workshops with people like: Hans Galli (clown), Jango Edwards (clown), Peter Makal (mime), Ella Jaruselski (mime), Rodziankos (voice and dance), Hillary Bota (dance), Matthew Burton (physical theatre, commedia dell’arte), Carlo Manzoni (commedia dell’arte), Dzidek Starcynowski (mime), Contraband (contact improvisation), San Francisco Mime Troupe, Dell’Arte School (Blue Lake- California), Cirque du Soleil, Zirkus Trau Dich, Fernandos Zauberzirkus, Theaterfabrik Unterfoehring/ Lustspielhaus/ Club B52 were venues she was involved with design and development... Since 1996 she lives and works in Ireland, where she studied with Macnas as well as wrote and directed their first Babaro parade 2000-2003 she wrote, performed and toured her show Piparella and the lost colours in 250 different venues around the country promoting Recycling, sponsored by Agenda 21 and Repak 2003- 2009 she worked on the realisation of the Galway Circus Project.. An Sorcas Beag … the first dedicated youthcircus in the Republic of Ireland… 2010: she produced 2 shows Sorcas Quircas (mobile circus show… out of THE VAN :0) – Summerproduction and Momo’s Dream a UV Light Show about the value of time – Winterproduction 2011: she takes bookings for Walkabouts including Balloons and interactive facepainting as well as for touring Sorcas Quircas.
